TOP NEWS
It's late summer, so we are about to start the 2010-2011 skating season.
ICE TIME
We will have four hours of ice per week for the first time in our twenty year history,
so everyone can skate one hour on Thursdays and one hour on Fridays.
First day is Thursday September 16.
Download the Season Opening newsletter and season calendar from our Current News page.
REGISTRATION
We will hold our Registration for last season's members on Sunday September 12
at the Mount Joy arena starting at noon.
Please come and submit your registration forms & payments, select your skates, and catch up on news.
In the meantime, join us at our weekly dryland training sessions.
Summer dryland training will continue to September 14, but is cancelled on September 7 as it is the first day of school.
Winter dryland training will start on September 21.
In any event, keep fit: cycling and in-line skating are good adjuncts.
OPEN HOUSE
Watched the Olympics and were excited by them?
Haven't speed skated before but would like to try it?
Newcomers to speed skating are invited to our OPEN HOUSE in the afternoon on Sunday September 12
from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with ice at 2 p.m. so you can try speed skating for free!
See the details on our Newcomers page.
Alex Ianculescu mimics the logo at the Richmond speed skating oval.
She was a forerunner at the Olympic Games. See more about her in the Skaters' News column on our
