Intro to Speed Skating Opportunity

Amazing news! We are running an Introduction to Speed Skating session on November 7th at 7pm! Come out to get a taste of short track speed skating. If you decide to join the club after participating in the session, you will only have to pay for 1/2 the season! Please refer to the fee sheet for season fees and contact us for more information.

Pre-Registration is Closed

Thank you to everyone who pre-registered for the season and took advantage of the early bird discount!

All returning members are welcome to join us for the first practice of the seaon on Tuesday September 5th, including those who did not pre-register.

Any new skaters looking to join our club or learn more about speed skating are encouraged to register for our Intro to Speed Skating program or the full season at our 2017 Open House, more information below.

Do you like to go fast and race other people? Were you excited by the speed skating you saw in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, or on other occasions? Are you interested in speed skating and would like to give it a try?

Then come join us at our 2017 fall open house! You'll get the chance to try on a pair of speed skates (while supplies last) and learn about the sport. Best of all, it's FREE!

The open house will be held Sunday September 10th, from 2pm-4pm at Mount Joy Community Centre (see Map).

If you are interested in attending our open house, please fill out the appropriate form to let us know of your intentions. There are two different forms, one for if the interested individual is Under 18, and another for individuals 18 and Over. If you are under the age of 18, please have your parent/guardian fill out the Under 18 form for you.

Please note we will be holding a wine/liquor bottle and Canadian Tire money drive, so if you have any spare refundable glass bottles and/or Canadian Tire bills lying around, be sure to bring them in!

For more information on our Open House or Intro to Speed Skating program, visit the Newcomers page or email us at
