This meet will conform to the standards and procedures specified in
Section G of the Ontario Speed Skating Association's "Technical Bulletin
for the 2011-2012 Season" issued in September 2011.
150 young skaters from clubs in western and central Ontario
are expected to participate in this all-day event. Each skater
will compete in a heat and a final in two distances within groups
of about 15 skaters in order to achieve personal best times and
medals in their group.
Cradle class skaters are also invited to participate.
Racing will start at 9:00 a.m. and continue to about 4:15 p.m.
This will be the last opportunity for skaters to set fast enough times to rise up in their age class
ranking to be accepted into this season's Ontario Cup series. No new entries to the series will
be accepted following OCup #3 in Clarington on December 17-18, so this is the final chance to qualify.
